Recognizing emotions is the first step towards self-awareness. When we can identify and label our emotions, we're better equipped to manage them and understand how they influence our behavior. Here are some tips to help you recognize your emotions:
Activity: Emotions Journal
For one week, keep an emotions journal to practice recognizing and labeling your emotions. At the end of each day, take a few minutes to reflect on the emotions you experienced and the situations that triggered them. Write down your observations, including the physical sensations and thoughts associated with each emotion.
Over time, you'll become more in tune with your emotional landscape and better equipped to manage your emotions effectively.
